Nourishing the North Shore Mission:

Ensure equal access of healthy, local produce to all members of the North Shore in a manner that builds community, fosters connection, and promotes dignity and self-reliance.

About Donations:

All donated produce goes directly to Nourishing the North Shore's free VEGOUT Mobile Markets. The markets set up weekly at local food pantries and low-income/senior housing communities to distribute recovered local, fresh produce. The markets are staffed 100% by volunteers! Our Neighbors’ Table

"We are fortunate to live in an area with an abundance of farmland. Heron Pond's partnership with Our Neighbors’ Table ensures their locally grown fresh produce is enjoyed by everyone in our community."

Heron Pond's produce goes out on the Market shelves at Our Neighbors’ Table's Amesbury, Merrimac, and Newburyport locations, serving over 600 households a week. Our guests are thrilled to have access to fresh locally grown produce to feed their families. Heron Pond donations are also used to prepare the Wednesday Meal, which provides a fresh, healthy 3 course meal to 150 guests each week.

Pettengill believes that individual and family stabilization is best achieved by identifying the level of need both individually and as a family unit and addressing said needs "one step at a time". Our primary concerns are the most basic human needs of food, clothing, shelter, health and safety.
